Whenever you see a business that goes to great lengths to hide, it’s a scam! DATA TICKET INC is nothing more than an abusive and illegal COLLECTION AGENCY that hides behind the CITATIONPROCESSINGCENTER WEBSITE and a post-office box. Their phone is a recording that just repeats what you already see and then hangs up. There’s no WHO WE ARE or CONTACT US.
Hiding tells you right away that they are not following Fair Debt Collection Practices. Search FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT. Read the FTC page, particularly the part about harassment and abuse and false and misleading practices.
They want to prevent you from APPEALING your citation. It’s a whole lot easier if they just threaten to suspend your registration or simply TAKE THE MONEY out of your STATE TAX RETURN. They get paid and you are left with no choice. But, you have the right to THREE levels of appeal with any citation. They make that confusing for everyone so that almost all the people simply pay up quickly and quietly.
If your citation is valid, and there are no extenuating circumstances, like poverty or financial hardship, then pay. She’s an elderly woman who, based on employment reports from her staff, clearly treats people like dirt! She simply doesn’t care who struggles to pay the citations, or what they must give up. As long as she gets paid, that’s all that matters to her.
If you do manage to contact anyone at Data Ticket Inc, the person will most likely be a rude woman who tells you to shut up and listen to her. They bring trouble on themselves, by denying the public their rights to contest debts quickly and easily, because that would require them to do more work and delay their payment. It’s so much easier for them if they just refuse to talk or respond to you and just point you to their stupid website and order you to pay whatever they demand or else!
